Since I have been elected to organise excursion for November, thought I would try to arrange a Christmas night out... know alot more about pubs/clubs than lochs/seas After Thursday's curry night, discovered that Graeme has a love for karaoke and dressing up ;D so have looked into booking the Shanghai Shuffle in Glasgow. For those who haven't heard of it check the website below: www.shanghaishuffle.comHave been myself, and from what I can remember... thoroughly recommend it....it's extremely popular so will have to know numbers and suitable dates for 1st July

Might be worth phoning them and asking them what dates they have available at the moment. I tried to book my friends hen night there with about 4 months notice and couldn't get anything suitable. They are open everynight of the week so if people don't mind on a school night then should be fine. I've heard it's a really good night out.
Another karaoke/curry/dressing up is the Curry Karaoke club in Glasgow. Same idea but with Indian food. Onll downside is it isn't in the city centre. Think it's near the SECC.

Weekend would be better, but week might be better for trains home, etc.... cos I don't believe this would be a night for non-drinkers!!

I called on Saturday and they aren't taking any Christmas bookings until 1st July - so thought if we could find a date that suits most folk I would call back on the 1st July to book, as you rightly said Gillian they will fill up quickly...
Would a fri/sat night in December suit most?
Another thought...if there was enough of us it would probably be better to hire a bus

I'm going to hijack this here. Along with a Christmas night out, how about a secret Santa thing. Everyone chucks their names in and picks one out. Buy that person a pressie to the value of either £5 or £10. Only condition should be, it can't be dive related. I'm quite happy to organise it.

Must be a vet thing, I was talking to your partner in Lidl as well. He was very helpful with his recommendations. It involved a large plastic thing with a flashing light .

now he'd make a good Santa - and when he dresses up it can be your secret!

well...nearly July already!!! Was planning to call Shangai Shuffle Saturday with hope of booking a night in December. Thought it would be an idea to get numbers for 2 possible dates - Saturday 2nd December or Friday 8th December If people still fancy going if they could put their name to preferred date and I will see how I get on...Cheers

Put me down with the majority as according to my current roster, I'm on my 2nd dayshift for both nights. If that changes, I'll put in holidays. Ronnie says put him with the majority too.

The 2nd is good for me and Gareth. Can't do the 8th as I'm nightshift.

Gonna be a toughie for me on this one - I too am easy on the dates but I will always be a 'Maybe' on this one! MoshDiver Jnr's due date is the 28 Nov so could be early / late / later still. Really keen to go though - but I will always be a maybe until the event & whether Mrs MoshDiver allows such activities.
