My turn to ask for opinions now. Having sent my Quantum back for the umpteenth time, I demanded a full refund and got it (I must be scary when I'm angry). Anyway, I'd welcome any suggestions as to what to buy now. I need the capability to dive at least 2 different mixes and to change the mix mid-dive. Able to spend about £250.

you could join P.R.A.T. for a one off membership of £200 and with your change buy a laminater and an A4 pad and plan your dives with tables , laminate them and dive easy peasy any more computer queries just ask..

Think you might be right but I'll spend my money on cider and wine and trust my old Aladin Sport (£30 second hand from Barry). I will refresh my head with the Nitrox EAD tables and be done with it! P.R.A.T.S. are us!

ditto for a Vytec. I dont have one yet, but I've always used Suuntos and would have no hesitation in getting one.

i used the money from all pimpin' fiona did for me to buy a quantum, like what she recommended at the time.........hmmmm - so far (after 1 exchange) no issues with it. took ages to save up at £1 a go............but what value!! when she's worked some more i'll get the black glass for the back windows - jealousy isn't attractive you know.

okay, now my Quantum (bought on the recommendation of a certain fellow diver, no names no pack drill Fiona) has now died. first one i got died too, so not fancying being stuck under the briny with any of you lot and no computer, i am looking to change. even when safely holding onto my dive sthingy2 id still be troubled. 2 things- vytec seems like favoured option last time- still the case? and can anyone remember the address of agent/manufacturer to send the bloody thing back to.

If you bought it from Simply Scuba like I did, send it back to them at: 112 Harvey Drive John Wilson Business Park Whitstable Kent CT5 3QY (with a covering letter to say you now want a shiny new Vytec instead)

Don't do it! It's not worth it and don't buy a Halcyon HID either. It's embarrassing when they flood in front of famous people.
