The club has been approached by some Scouts to do a try-dive on Monday 12th June.
I am trying to find out from Head Office whether or not the participants need to be under direct supervision of an instructor or not. If they do not, would anyone be interested in helping out?
Depending on numbers of Scouts, it would be anything from 10mins upwards per Scout, giving them a few turns round the pool. If you didnt want to take someone in the pool, then you could help give them safety briefings or help with equipment fitting.
These events are usually a really good laugh - but they can be hard work.
Any takers?

When you say scouts do you mean the big guys from the USofA from the elite rangers platoon that i taught underwater tracking techniques.
They did say they fancied a try dive but only coz the pub was close.
I better be available for that in case they get aggitated and aggresive and i need to sort them out using water dragon kung fu that the shaolin monks taughts me for teaching them altitude diving.

I too can help if allowed to... but only if Graeme can teach me some of his water dragon kung fu moves...
or would I need to go to the shaolin monastery to receive the training direct from the old wise one?

no need to go to the monastery, the old wise one will be at the club monday night at her usual spot organising the training with her zen like aura around her.
I thought you already knew water dragon kung fu, I swear i saw you carry out the defensive move known as the seasnake ascent to surface followed by the aggresive breach from water on to attackers head. It was well done, you even cleared the water with your breach.

Yes I have learnt a lot from the old wise one - but need to further sharpen my techniques.
The fact that you saw my seasnake ascent means I have failed - I must study hard and learn the ways of the shaolin monks.
or learn to dump air on gradual ascents!!! ;D ;D

sacrilege! attack the unbeliever and chop his dry suit into many small pieces....... even to joke about the ninja diver in this way is a cursed thing, truly goldfish is a great devil.................stick him with Tom's mighty dive knife- the really really big one; not the tiddly 2 footer. when you are cold and huddled by the side of the holy water and wish for a fire to be lit, then you shall repent goldfish and wish that the firstarter of fable would light your fire.or maybe he does and this attack on his greatness is a smokescreen? ?? ;D
