After a ver pleasent drive to a lovely new dive site with the lovely Lord Cowboy yesterday, we had a chat and he mentioned the idea of having a car boot sale for club funds. I thought it was a good idea because lets face it, we've all got valuable merchandise that we can't stand the sight of (hands up who has wedding pressies up the loft, still in boxes).
So on that note, I've got books and some other bits and bobs that could go. Is anyone else interested or am I going to be hawking my wares on my own? In the case, I'm keeping the cash ;D.

would probably be interested , but as it never seems to get beyond the discussion stage i threw most of my stuff away as did most of the other people who said they would be interested.

Mrs MoshDiver usually chucks anything away before clutter develops, BUT sure I have some things I could give and I'd be willing to help out running, etc. It's at least one good idea to boost funds and should be applauded!

any fund raising idea is a good idea but the club has a history of never evolving beyond the idea stage.

How about if we pick a sunday (that's when they all seem to be) and if people want to help then great. I've never done one but am happy to give it a bash. Also what might be an idea if we could get a garage or use the space where the boat should be to put stuff in. That way, we just have to load up a car with the valuable merchandise from the one location. If people brought stuff along on a monday, it could get taken up there until we have enough for a stall.
Any other fundraising suggestions would be great.

I'm sure me and the lovely Moshdiver could shift the merchandise. All help would be welcomed.
I always thought I'd look good in a flat cap and one of those market-trader money belts ;D.

Over the PVC my dear, only a very few have seen whats under it. I'm sure any leftovers anyone has would be great. As long as whatever we get isn't pre-loved to the point of death, I'm sure we'll get a few sheckles for it. The cat boxes are a good thing. Might not be worth saying that they were the transport for taking puss-kins to the green mile .

keeping the contents of the pvc hidden is the secret to your old over your servile gimp, is he still under the stairs and only let out on high days and holidays?
who is volunteering to store the stuff? my missus would kill me if our garage got more cluttered. she may not wear pvc(dammit) but she's still marvellously strict!

Don't know how m'lovely husband would take to me filling up our garage. I've already invaded his man-space with the womanly items such as a freezer and a tumble dryer.

I raised the idea with Mrs Moshdiver and with the arrival of Moshdiver Jnr in a few months she'd be delighted to give away my limited editions Skid Row & Metallica videos Apparently I have a lot of stuff I want to chuck out I'm sure Cowboy needs the dungeon updating - the local car boot connoisseur has a need for second hand incarceration gear..... how come any thread Cowboy manages to get PVC in there?!!

I reserve the right to have first rummage through Moshdiver's record or CD collection. I could not allow you to condemn Skid Row or Metallica to a car boot sale. And on the subject of PVC, as Divegods, Cowboy and myself reserve the right to control the topics an insertion of PVC into the conversation. No I'm off to bounce round the living room to Faster girl thingy3cat (ahh them were the days)
